This week went pretty well. It was a little disappointing
however, we had two activities planned recently by the branch, including a
member missionary work activity which has gone really well in the past, to
which not a single person showed up. Not even those who planned them like the
BP... It was pretty weird. Possibly they were planned differently than how we
thought or in other places or something, but both times we showed up and
nobody came. But we'll work on it.
We're planning on having an activity after
English class with both English students who choose to stay and members who
will come, and watch the Joseph Smith movie subtitled in Romanian! I have high
hopes for it, and we're going to call a whole bunch of people and try to get as
many people as possible. I'll let you go how it goes.
We were able to meet with
a few people this week, had a good lesson with an older couple who have been
meeting with missionaries for a while, helped teach them English and shared a
Mormon message. We're going to continue working with them, as well as a few
others.
One of our investigators promised to come to church, and we came to his
house to go with him, but long story short we called him like 4 times and he
finally answered but said nothing and didn't come. But we'll keep trying!
So
yeah we'll keep on pushing and I'll try to get some more activities going.
Transfers are coming up soon so I'll let you know what happens!
One crazy thing that happened this last week was that 2 of
the official church photographers came and took pictures of us doing stuff! So
they came with us to a lesson with a less-active member, and just took pictures
of us in the lesson, which was kind of weird because he moved us around a
couple times and had us mess with the lights and stuff, but in the end it
turned out all right. Then after that he took pictures of us doing comp study.
So yeah! Sometime in the future you might see me and my companion in official
church materials! But probably not just because of how many pictures they have,
but it's possible!
Anyway, I'm still just trucking along trying to do the best
I can!
